A Bodhisattva is “a friend of the world,” who, moved by compassion for the suffering of living beings, trains in six profound practices: giving, moral discipline, patience, joyful effort, concentration and wisdom. These practices energize and inspire us to attain both our own happiness and also our greater ability to benefit others with wisdom through integrating kindness into our daily life.
