This class will teach us how to experience and maintain joy by recognizing and eliminating painful states of mind.
In Buddhism, painful emotions are known as ‘delusions’. They are called this precisely because they are delusional ways of seeing the world. So when we get angry or proud or attached to particular pleasures, we lose our inner peace. Delusions create unhappiness for ourselves and others. We’ll learn clear methods – based in meditation – for recognizing delusions and transforming them into healthier, beneficial reality-based states of mind.
Drop-in Class-Open to all. Everyone welcome.
