What’s the solution to all of our problems? If we think it’s more money, more time, or the right relationship, we may be setting ourselves up for disappointment. Buddhism reminds us that there’s a difference between outer and inner problems. Rather than accepting when someone is angry for example, we’re training to accept the uncomfortable feelings that arise in our minds. This is our real inner problem. Often our mind is difficult to control and our thoughts are blown here and there like a balloon. The solution is that by training in meditation, we develop an inner peace and a balanced mind. When our minds are happy, our problems disappear and we’re left actually enjoying our lives.
