Bodhisattva Vow Ceremony

Please join us for this very special way to celebrate Turning the Wheel of Dharma Day and the birthday of our very Kind Spiritual Guide, Venerable Geshe-la!

Bodhisattva Vow Ceremony – Thursday, June 4, 7-8:30pm
A Bodhisattva is someone who strives to reach full enlightenment so they are able to benefit others in the most powerful way. During this ceremony we promise to never give up this wish, and we make a pledge to live the Bodhisattva’s way of life by practicing the six perfections.

The evening will include a teaching on the Bodhisattva’s way of life, followed by the vow ceremony. The Bodhisattva Vow Ceremony consists of beautiful chanted prayers and contemplations that last about an hour.

For in-person Vow Ceremonies at the center, it is traditional to bring a nice offering of food or flowers. Since we will be in our homes, it would be nice for each of us to get a special offering which we can place on our home shrine.
