Special Event
Wednesday, August 14, 2019
7-8:30pm
Join us as we welcome back Gen Kelsang Rigpa, the Resident Teacher at Kadampa Meditation Center Hollywood and the Western US National Spiritual Director of the New Kadampa Tradition. Gen Rigpa began his Dharma journey as a student at KMC Long Island (formerly Dipamkara Meditation Center) and served as our Resident Teacher from 2004-07. His heartfelt and practical teachings are presented with warmth and humor, making them accessible to everyone.
In this talk, Gen Rigpa will inspire us with stories about the life of our Spiritual Guide and the founder of the New Kadampa Tradition, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, including Geshe-la’s vision for this world. There will be a teaching followed by the video “40 Years of Kindness,” and some explanation about the not-to-be-missed, upcoming International Fall Festival in Arizona, where the fifth Kadampa Temple for World Peace will officially open on Sept. 26, 2019.
We hope you can join us for this very special evening!
No pre-registration required. Everyone welcome!
