The Gift of Happiness: Harmony at the Holidays

Sunday, Dec. 23, 2018
11:30am – 1pm

The holiday season can be a wonderful time to connect with friends and family. It can also be a time when expectations of ourselves, others, and events themselves are higher than usual, leading to stress and disappointment. For many, the holiday season can bring depression and loneliness. Relationships, finances and social demands can be particularly challenging at this time.

Take time to come relax and enjoy Buddha’s healing teachings and techniques for cultivating personal peace and harmony, so we can respond genuinely to every situation, conversation, or outcome with a positive mind and a good heart. In this way, we will enjoy a meaningful and stress-free holiday season.

Join us as we welcome home Gen Kelsang Rigpa, the Resident Teacher at Kadampa Meditation Center Hollywood and the Western US National Spiritual Director of the New Kadampa Tradition. Gen Rigpa began his Dharma journey as a student at KMC Long Island (formerly Dipamkara Meditation Center) and served as our Resident Teacher from 2004-07. His heartfelt and practical teachings are presented with warmth and humor, making them accessible to everyone.

No pre-registration required. Everyone welcome!
