Meditation: Inner Medicine for These Troubled Times

Although our world looks very different today, 2600 years after Buddha first taught in India, two things remain the same — the actual source of all our problems and suffering, and the antidote. The source of all pain lies in what Buddha called the “three poisons”: attachment, aversion and ignorance. For as long we allow these three inner distortions to “run the show,” they will naturally give rise to an endless stream of painful states — stress, disappointment, confusion, dissatisfaction, agitation, tension, addiction, sadness, fear, jealousy, insecurity, dis-ease… In this series we’ll learn the antidote to all of these, and by practicing meditation and applying Buddha’s wisdom advice, we can gradually find our way to an experience of true inner freedom.
