Our work lives can be very hectic sometimes. Caught up in demands from bosses and colleagues, time-sensitive deadlines, meetings, and other pressures from work can often make us feel like our days are flying by in a blur. As the days blend into weeks, and weeks blend into months we may begin to feel our life is going round in circles or slipping by. The solution is to live mindfully by learning to live each day fully, to be present with each moment, and learn to focus our mind on what is truly important in life.
Mindfulness is the art of bringing love, compassion, and wisdom into the present moment. When we do this all our normal daily activities such as working, eating, and socializing become deeply satisfying and meaningful. By practicing mindfulness even a simple conversation or to-do list item will become a source of inner peace and transformation.
When we train in mindfulness we are able to let go of all the problems we carry around with us and that preoccupy our mind. We will reduce stress, overcome worry, and find peace in our heart. Mindfulness is the heart of meditation. Regardless of whether we are new to meditation or more experienced, this course will help to deepen our practice of meditation, with special emphasis on how to integrate it with our work life.
