Buddha taught that all of our thoughts and actions leave imprints or potentialities in our consciousness. These potentialities eventually give rise to our experiences, positive or negative. On the spiritual path, we are training in loving kindness and wisdom; always striving to increase our positive actions and their effects. But what about the negative imprints that still remain in our consciousness? Can we avoid experiencing their effects? Buddha taught methods to purify, or neutralize all of these negative potentialities so that we are freed from the pain and difficulties they can produce. In this series we will learn about karma and the four opponent powers of purification.
