Every one of us has experienced or will experience the loss of someone or something dear to us. In addition, we have so many fears such as sickness, rejection, loneliness, failure, death, mental illness, the future of this world and the future of our children. Sometimes these fears are manifest and sometimes they are beneath the surface, giving rise to anxiety, feelings of insecurity and vulnerability. What do we turn to to protect us from fear, anxiety and grief, especially these days? What can we rely upon? According to Buddha it is possible to transcend our fear and attain a state of fearlessness. But, this can only be accomplished through investigating our fears and uncovering their source in our own uncontrolled minds.
