Compassion in Action

Meeting Green Tara, The Swift One, The Heroine

There’s no question that there is a great need for compassionate heroes and heroines in our world today. All of us really want to help, but we’re not always sure how. And when we do help, sometimes we wonder if our actions are actually beneficial. How do we put our compassion into skillful action? In this workshop we’ll explore both compassion and wisdom, and we’ll learn why we really need to develop both of these qualities in order to truly help ourselves and others.

Tara is a female enlightened being whose name means “Liberator”. Since she is a wisdom Buddha, and since she is a manifestation of the completely purified wind element, Tara is able to help very quickly.  In the second part of this workshop, we’ll have an opportunity to engage in the beautiful chanted prayer practice of Buddha Tara, called Liberation from Sorrow.

No pre-registration required. Everyone welcome! No one turned away for a lack of funds.
