Coming Home:
The Practice of Refuge

Everyone has a deep & natural longing for “home” — a place of refuge and loving support, a safe and protected space where we can be at ease being ourselves.  What does “home” mean to us?  More and more, in these uncertain times, we may find ourselves asking – Is there any safe place to be? This inspires us to explore the deeper meanings of safety and protection. Buddha’s beautiful teachings on the practice of Refuge help us to find our way home.

Breathe & Bloom: A Mental Refresh

Just as we physically clear away outer clutter and debris, so we can gently allow the mental clutter, that barrage of chatter and distraction within our own minds, to dissolve away. Then we can experience the peace and wisdom that naturally resides within our minds. When we quiet this clutter of thoughts, we discover a place of refuge within our own heart, giving us the space to respond to daily problems in a constructive, beneficial way.
