Keeping a good heart tells us what to do. From this heart, many good actions and intentions will follow. Our good heart is our inner wealth and our most precious possession. With this good heart, combined with the good hearts of our spiritual community, together we can be a powerful force for change in our world.
Join Gen Kelsang Chenma for her first Sunday class as Resident Teacher at KMC Long Island, and stay afterwards for her welcome reception.
Gen Kelsang Chenma becomes KMC-LI’s fifth resident teacher. She has been a student of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso for the past 23 years and received ordination from him on July 29, 2004, at Manjushri Kadampa Meditation Center in England. Previously she served as Resident Teacher at KMC Georgia in Atlanta, and most recently has been living and studying at KMC New York for the last eight years. She grew up in Harrington Park, NJ, and first met Kadam Dharma when she lived in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Gen Chenma is a great example of how to practice Kadampa Buddhism in the modern world. Her heartfelt teachings are presented with humor and warmth, showing us how to find peace and happiness in our daily lives.
