Joyful, Balanced Life
with David Hoffner
Our feelings towards others are normally unbalanced. We see friends and are pleased, we see enemies and we feel dislike, and to strangers we are indifferent. Our mind is unbalanced, swinging from one extreme to the other. In this class, we will learn how we can support the virtuous happy minds of universal love and compassion in dependence on the foundation of balance and equanimity.
Buddha said, “On the ground of equanimity pour the water of love and sow the seed of compassion.”
‘The ground of love’ refers to affectionate love toward all living beings. Through this, we can develop affection for all living beings by meditating on this balanced outlook.
This course is suitable for beginners and more advanced.
