2023 Kadampa Kids Day Camp

Kadampa Kids Day Camp offers a daily program teaching children how to meditate with practical life lessons such as remembering the kindness of others, the value of helping others, what it means to be a protector to the protector-less, how to cherish our precious Dharma Center, as well as giving campers an introduction to some traditional Buddhist ritual practices. This camp is intended for children ages 6-12 and teaches the virtues of compassion, kindness and patience through fun activities and play.Our staff of instructors and counselors start each day having campers help make shrine offerings before engaging in a brief breathing meditation practice. There is a daily lesson, activity (arts and crafts, storytelling, singing and performing), time for refreshments and play/fun.

Healthy snacks and water are provided, but campers are asked to bring their own vegetarian lunch. No meat or fish, please, as we are a Buddhist meditation center 🙂
