Transcending Hate

A day of meditative retreat in honor of Martin Luther King Day
with Buddhist Teacher Evelyn Williams

On this retreat we will meditate on the stages of the path to enlightenment in order to gain experiences of these special meditations that will allow us to move peacefully and compassionately through our world, benefiting others and defusing conflict with non-violent activity of body, speech and mind.  Everyone is welcome. No meditation experience is necessary.

Four Sessions

Session 1 – 10:00 – 11:00     Equanimity

Session 2 – 11:15 – 12:15     Patient Acceptance

Session 3 –  1:15-2:15     Equalizing Self and Others

Session 4 –  2:30-3:30     Exchanging Self with Others

About the Teacher
Evelyn Williams is a guest teacher from Kadampa Meditation Center New York, where she studies Kadampa Buddhism with Gen Samten Kelsang. She is known for the warmth, clarity and joy she brings to her teachings and meditations. She lives in Albany and teaches a regular meditation class in Saratoga Springs, NY.
