Finding the Hero Within:
Inspiring Solutions for Challenging Times
** This event will sell out. Be sure to pre-register in order to reserve a seat.**
What special qualities do we need to face today’s challenges? How can we truly protect ourselves and others?
Join us for answers to these questions in this special workshop with internationally-renowned Buddhist monk and teacher, Gen Kelsang Togden. Gen Togden will explain and guide us in the ancient practice of “Taking & Giving,” a supremely powerful method taught by Buddha to transform life’s difficulties and hardships into spiritual strength. Training in this practice will gradually strengthen our heroic qualities such as love and compassion, and will inspire us to act kindly, generously and patiently… joyfully, mindfully, and wisely…
If each of us can be inspired to bring out the hero within us, we can bring enormous relief and transformation into our world.

Bodhisattva Vow Ceremony with Gen Togden
Inspired by our wish to relieve the suffering of living beings, we can take the Bodhisattva vows. We commit to training in the Bodhisattva’s Way of Life, the practice of the “six perfections:” giving, moral discipline, patience, effort, concentration and wisdom – until we attain enlightenment. It is traditional to bring an offering of flowers or (vegetarian) food to this ceremony.
