Going for Refuge to the Three Jewels
Sundays in July
with Dawn Jackson
We work hard to secure satisfying and well paying jobs, long-lasting relationships, coveted possessions, and favorable status with the hope that these pursuits can supply us with security and long-lasting happiness. However, once we have attained “everything we’ve ever wanted,” our feeling of dissatisfaction remains. Why is this? According to Buddha, the answer is very simple. Deep long-lasting happiness can only arise from within our own heart, not from anything outside of it.
In this series, we will delve into the powerful and enriching practice of going for refuge to Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha. By training in this practice, we can begin to build a foundation for authentic and long-lasting freedom and joy, which we are all seeking.
