*** This event is SOLD OUT, however, Gen Samten will be teaching in Huntington again on Sunday, Oct. 22, at our Sunday GP class, which is open to all, beginning at 11:30am. ***
For those registered for the Silent Retreat, please arrive no later than 9:15am on Saturday, Oct. 21 to hear the retreat guidelines. Cell phones will not be permitted inside the meditation room (gompa).
We often have trouble letting go of painful events in our past and this affects the way we respond to our current life situations. We blame situations, ourselves or others and remain trapped in a state of anger and hurt. Through training in mindfulness and meditation we can illuminate the real source of pain and difficulty within our minds and finally release it completely, leaving us with a tremendous feeling of relief and joy. Learn practical methods to let go of the past through this four-session silent retreat.
