Join Us This New Year’s Eve
Sunday, Dec. 31 • 9:30pm-midnight
Start the year off right with some quiet reflection time to set your spiritual intentions for 2018. Take time to re-connect to your heart and think deeply about the wishes you are setting. Join us for an alternative New Year’s Eve as we meditate together, wishing for inner peace, compassion and wisdom to grow within our own hearts, and the hearts of all beings throughout this world.
New Year’s Day Silent Retreat
Monday, Jan 1 • 10am – 3:30pm
Join us on New Year’s Day for an introductory silent meditation retreat. Put the busy holiday season behind you, step away from all your electronic devices, and start the new year off with some peaceful, quiet reflection. Silence facilitates deeper insights and a deeper experience of inner peace. The day will include an introduction to meditation, three guided meditation sessions, a delicious vegetarian lunch, and a discussion at the end. Beginners are welcome!
Envisioning a New Reality
Join us for this new GP series on Sundays in December, a great time with a new year looming, to imagine the kind of life you want for yourself moving forward. What will it take to achieve this vision? Allow yourself the freedom and space to set a beautiful intention and then begin building a plan for how you’re going to get there, according to wisdom and advice from Buddha.

We are looking to raise $205,000 to help finance our new building facade and indoor floor design plan at KMC-LI Huntington. The project was first announced on Nov. 4 – International Temples Day. Contributions have been steadily trickling in from our generous community members. Help us beautify our precious Dharma Center to ensure that future generations of meditation practitioners on Long Island will have a beautiful place of refuge to learn about the teachings of Buddha.
